This was ascertained in research involving 65,000 women.
The women used the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines and had no complications.
According to the European Medicines Agency, the vaccines instead protected women.
It said that the COVID-19 vaccines protected pregnant women from hospitalization.
This was especially in the last stages of their pregnancy, the watchdog said.

The statement read:
“The review did not find any sign of an increased risk of pregnancy complications, miscarriages, preterm births or adverse effects in the unborn babies following mRNA COVID-19 vaccination.”
It was gathered that Pfizer and Moderna both use new Messenger RNA technology.
The EU regulator emphasized that a “detailed review of several studies” was carried out among 65,000 pregnant women.
It said the women were closely monitored at different stages of their pregnancies.
“The review of real-world evidence suggests that the benefits of receiving mRNA COVID-19 vaccines during pregnancy outweigh any possible risks for expectant mothers and unborn babies,” the statement read.
The Amsterdam based research institute advised that pregnant women should get vaccinated.

This is because pregnancies in second and third trimesters are exposed to severe COVID-19.
“Pregnancy itself had been associated with a higher risk of severe COVID-19 in the second and third trimesters, so expectant mothers should get vaccinated,” it said.
The EMA added that other vaccines would be reviewed as soon as research reviews are available.
