Lagos State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 13 states recorded about 163 new cases.

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) reported this on Wednesday, January 19.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.

Lagos State leads with a record of 59 new cases.

The FCT follows with a record of 33 confirmed new cases.

Delta State follows with a distant record of 16 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 251, 341.

The total number of deaths is currently 3,116.

Active cases: 23,286.

However, the NCDC reports a record of 224,939 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.
