Britain hospitals have been shocked with the highest cases of COVID-19 caused by the Omicron variant.
With a scary record of 200,000 cases on Tuesday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson urges citizens to be cautious.

The other cause of concern is the shortage of staff suspected to have resulted from the Omicron variant.
Although these massive cases are completely new, the people in need of ventilation remain flat.
Reports reaching the press confirmed 48 deaths from December to January.
The National Health Service (NHS) is still faced with numerous challenges, such as; staff being forced to isolate after testing positive.
He told a news conference about the reactivation of emergency “Nightingale” clinics. This has forced the NHS to take a “war footing” after recruiting medical volunteers backed by the army.
“So, anyone who thinks our battle with Covid is over, I’m afraid, is profoundly wrong. This is a moment for the utmost caution,” Johnson said.
Amidst this chaotic situation, the Prime Minister ruled out the possibility of another lockdown.

This was due to the mass nationwide vaccination and administering of booster shots.

Commuters have experienced long waits on their return to work due to the absences of transport networks.
Also, household bin collections were hampered. Observers said this happened after the extension of the New Year Public holiday on Monday.
The Prime Minister, however, said a new programme of testing 100,000 “critical workers” daily would eradicate “this Omicron wave”.

Minister of Vaccines, Maggie Throup, spoke on the surge in COVID-19 due to the Omicron.
“But what is good news, it doesn’t seem to be resulting in severe diseases as some of the other variants did,” she told Sky News.
The data reaching the press speculates that about 50,000 NHS staff were absent from work. They were either absent for self-isolating or for being ill.
A minimum of six hospital groups said crucial services may be threatened. A hospital in Plymouth, southwest England, said nearly 500 staff were absent.
