COVID-19 In Nigeria Update: There Were 36 New Confirmed Cases and Three New Deaths Recorded On Sunday, February 6.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there has been no new additional COVID-19-related death in Nigeria. This brings the total number of deaths to 3139.

Lagos State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 4 states and the FCT recorded about 36 new cases.

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) released this update on Friday, February 7.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.

Lagos State leads with a record of 23 new cases.

The FCT follows with a distant record of 5 confirmed new cases.

Osun State follows with a close record of 4 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 253, 727.

The total number of deaths is currently 3,139.

Active cases: 20,509.

However, the NCDC reports a record of 230,037 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
