COVID-19 In Nigeria: There Were 1355 New Confirmed Cases And One New Death On Wednesday, December 29.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there has been one new additional COVID-19-related death in Nigeria. This brings the total number of deaths to 3030.

Lagos State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 10 states recorded about 1355 new cases. This was the update released by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday, December 30.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25 emerged as the highest in recent time.

Lagos State leads with a massive record of 1,036 new cases.

Nasarawa State follows with a distant record of 92 confirmed new cases.

Delta State follows with a record of 58 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 240,374.

The total number of deaths is currently 3,030.

Active cases: 23,866.

However, the NCDC reports a record of 213,491 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
