COVID-19 In Nigeria Update: There Were 241 New Confirmed Cases and Two New Deaths Recorded On Monday, January 24.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there have been two new additional COVID-19-related deaths in Nigeria. This brings the total number of deaths to 3126.

Taraba State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. Nine states recorded about 241 new cases.

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) reported this on Tuesday, January 25.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.

Taraba State leads with a record of 98 new cases.

Rivers State follows with a record of 66 confirmed new cases.

Lagos State follows with a close record of 35 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 252, 428.

The total number of deaths is currently 3,126.

Active cases: 22,298.

However, the NCDC reports a record of 227,004 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
