COVID-19 In Nigeria Update: There Were 250 New Confirmed Cases and Seven New Deaths Recorded On Tuesday, January 25.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there have been seven new additional COVID-19-related deaths in Nigeria. This brings the total number of deaths to 3133.

Lagos State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 13 states recorded about 250 new cases.

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) reported this on Wednesday, January 26.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.

Lagos State leads with a record of 122 new cases.

Gombe State follows with a record of 44 confirmed new cases.

The FCT also follows with a close record of 20 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 252, 678.

The total number of deaths is currently 3,133.

Active cases: 22,298.

However, the NCDC reports a record of 227,004 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
