In the latest health news in Nigeria, there have been seven new additional COVID-19-related deaths in Nigeria. This brings the total number of deaths to 3110.
Lagos State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 15 states recorded about 249 new cases.
The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) reported on Tuesday, January 18.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.
Lagos State leads with a record of 59 new cases.
Adamawa State follows with a close record of 46 confirmed new cases.
Imo State follows with a distant record of 37 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 251, 178.
The total number of deaths is currently 3,110.
Active cases: 23,439.
However, the NCDC reports a record of 224,629 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.
