The Abia State Government has supported the upgrade the health facility at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) with the sum of N10 million.

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, pledged this sum on Saturday.
The Governor who received the new executives of the Student Union Government led by President Chukwuma Ogochukwu said the money would improve the health facility in the citadel.
He also said that this would allow the students access to standard healthcare services.
Ikpeazu also spoke about the construction of the Umuahia-Ikot-Ekpene Road. He urged the contractor in charge of the construction to fix the road immediately.

He told the students that his administration had improved the educational standard of the state. The Governor urged the students to take their academics seriously. He also told them to adopt dialogue as a strategy in all their engagements.
The SUG President, Chukwuma Ogochukwu, described the Governor as a student-friendly Governor. He also said that the Governor began fixing the Umuahia-Ikot-Ekpene Road after they cried out to him.
Ogochukwu appreciated the Governor for his swift response at fixing the road, despite the road being a federal road.
The Speaker, Chimezie Goodnews, in his vote of thanks also appreciated the Governor on his leadership capabilities. He lauded his love for the students.
