COVID-19 In Nigeria Update: There Were 22 New Confirmed Cases and One New Death Recorded On Sunday, January 30.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there have been two new additional COVID-19-related deaths in Nigeria. This brings the total number of deaths to 3135.

Osun State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. Five states recorded about 22 new cases.

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) released this update on Monday, January 31.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.

Osun State leads with a record of 9 new cases.

The FCT follows with a record of 6 confirmed new cases.

Delta State follows with a close record of 4 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 253, 032.

The total number of deaths is currently 3,135.

Active cases: 21,183.

However, the NCDC reports a record of 229,019 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
