The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.
Lagos State leads with a record of 19 new cases.
Kano State follows with a close record of 16 confirmed new cases.
Rivers State also follows with a record of 12 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 253, 405.
The total number of deaths is currently 3,136.
Active cases: 20,593.
However, the NCDC reports a record of 229,676 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.
