COVID-19 In Nigeria Update: No Death Recorded, 65 New Cases

COVID-19 In Nigeria Update: There Were 65 New Confirmed Cases and No New Death Recorded On Wednesday, February 2.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there has been no new additional COVID-19-related death in Nigeria. The total number of deaths remains 3136.

Lagos State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 7 states recorded about 65 new cases.

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) released this on Thursday, February 3.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.

Lagos State leads with a record of 19 new cases.

Kano State follows with a close record of 16 confirmed new cases.

Rivers State also follows with a record of 12 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 253, 405.

The total number of deaths is currently 3,136.

Active cases: 20,593.

However, the NCDC reports a record of 229,676 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
