COVID-19 In Nigeria: One New Death, 74 New Cases On Sunday, October 31.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there has been an increased number of COVID-19 deaths in Nigeria to 2896.

Benue State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases as well as 14 other states recorded about 74 new cases. This was the update released by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday, November 1.

A shocking record of 26 COVID-19 related deaths was reported on Monday, October 25. This is the highest in recent time.

Benue State takes the lead with 49 new cases. Enugu follows with a distant record of six new cases same as Osun State. Kano follows with a close record of five new cases.

Enugu – 6.

Kano – 5.

Oyo – 4.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said the record of 74 new COVID-19 infections has increased the number of infections in the country. Nigeria has now recorded 211,961.

The total number of deaths is currently 2, 896.

Active cases: 5817

However, the NCDC reports a record of 203,248 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

The health agency said the 74 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 211,961.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
