COVID-19 In Nigeria: There Were 420 New Confirmed Cases And Eight New Deaths On Monday, January 10.
In the latest health news in Nigeria, there have been six new additional COVID-19-related deaths in Nigeria. This brings the total number of deaths to 3085.
Lagos State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 13 states recorded about 420 new cases. This was the update released by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday, January 11.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.
Lagos State leads with a record of 103 new cases.
Kwara State follows with a distant record of 90 confirmed new cases.
Akwa Ibom follows with a record of 49 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 248, 732.
The total number of deaths is currently 3,085.
Active cases: 26,168.
However, the NCDC reports a record of 219,479 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.
It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
