COVID-19 In Nigeria: 2 New Deaths, 711 New Cases On Tuesday, October 26.
In the latest health news in Nigeria, there has been an increased number of COVID-19 deaths in Nigeria to 2884.
The epi-centre of COVID-19 in Nigeria, Lagos State and nine other states recorded about 165 new cases. This was the update released by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday, October 25.

A shocking record of 26 COVID-19 related deaths was reported on Monday.
Delta State takes the lead with 508 new cases. Plateau records 41 new cases followed by the Rivers State with 40 new cases. FCT follows with a distant number of 32 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said the record of 165 new COVID-19 infections has increased the number of infections in the country. Nigeria has now recorded 211,171.
The total number of deaths is currently 2, 884.
Active cases: 5613
However, the NCDC reports a record of 202,674 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

The health agency said the 165 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 210,460.
Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.
It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
