Shocking! Health Experts Reveal One Dairy Product With Healthy Bacterial
A microbiologist has revealed and recommended one dairy product with healthy bacterial.
Dr Amina Ahmed, a lecturer in the Department of Microbiology, University of Ilorin disclosed this on Thursday.
The microbiologist highly recommended the consumption of yoghurt because of its healthy bacterial.
She gave this recommendation at the launch of two books in the University. They are:
- Knowing Microbes.
- Time Management for Professional Women.
In her words, “yoghurt is good for your health”.
Why is Yoghurt healthy?
This is because this dairy product is produced by the bacterial fermentation of milk. The fermented milk product contains both Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus cultures.
According to a news update obtained from NAN, Ahmed said yoghurts boost the health of the intestines.
Ahmed said the good bacteria responsible for keeping the intestines healthy are probiotics.
What kills Healthy Bacterial
The Microbiologist said that heat treatment often reduces the nutritional value of yoghurt.
She explained that Yoghurt that often goes through the process have no active bacteria. Ahmed added that the heat treatment leaves the yoghurt with reduced health benefits.
“The health benefits can include promoting bone health and aiding digestion. Yoghurt is rich in probiotics, which support your immune system and improve digestive health by maintaining levels of ‘good bacteria in the gut,” Ahmed said.
On the book launch
Dr Ahmed said that her book on time management would help people create more wealth.
She said that the book teaches effective use of time and how to harness opportunities to build wealth.
Speaking from the point of a person with a humble beginning, she understands this.
According to her, experience has taught her that investment in productive activities could yield wealth.
She clarified that hard work rather than prayers yielded a fast turnaround.
Dr Ahmed encouraged husbands of professional women to support their spouses. This is because their responsibilities within the 24 hours is a lot.
She explained that this support would enable women to achieve their set goals.
