He also advised members of the society to get educated on autism. According to him, this would enhance the lives of autistic persons. Also, caring and identifying children suffering from it would become easy.

He said, “Autism is a new word to many, except for parents who have autistic children or people who lived with them. Proper attention should be given to these victims by specialists who know how to handle autistic people.

“When a teacher notices such children in the class, they should not hesitate to refer them to specialists and specialist schools so they could be diagnosed and the challenge can be tackled so that they can learn easily.”

Oti said the World Autism Awareness Day was celebrated annually for autistic children. The goal of the health observant day was to create awareness about the condition.

He concluded:

“Not everyone in the community knows about it, people get confused seeing children that suffer from this, and these children are denied essential needs.”
