COVID-19 In Nigeria Update: There Were 45 New Confirmed Cases and No New Deaths Recorded On Thursday, February 17.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there has been no new additional COVID-19-related death in Nigeria. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths remains 3141.

Lagos State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 5 states and the FCT recorded about 45 new cases.

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) released this update on Friday, February 18.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.

Lagos State leads with a record of 18 new cases.

Cross River State follows with a close record of 7 confirmed new cases.

Similarly, the FCT follows with the same record of 7 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 254, 182.

The total number of deaths is currently 3,141.

Active cases: 20,518.

However, the NCDC reports a record of 230,523 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
