COVID-19 In Nigeria Update: There Were 84 New Confirmed Cases and No New Deaths Recorded On Wednesday, March 9.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there has been no new additional COVID-19-related death in Nigeria. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths remains 3142.

Imo State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 5 states and the FCT recorded about 84 new cases.

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) released this update on Thursday, March 10.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.

The FCT leads with a record of 62 new cases.

Yobe State follows with a distant record of 15 confirmed new cases.

Bayelsa joins with a record of 3 new cases.

Kano – 1

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 254, 861.

The total number of deaths is  3,142.

Active cases: 2,313.

However, the NCDC reports a record of 249, 307 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
