Rivers State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 7 states and the FCT recorded 35 new cases.
The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) released this update on Tuesday, March 1.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.
Rivers State leads with a few records of 14 new cases.
Imo State follows with a wide margin of 6 confirmed new cases.
Lagos State joins the list with a record of 4 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 254, 560.
The total number of deaths is currently 3,142.
Active cases: 2354.
However, the NCDC reports a record of 249,079 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.
