The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.
Rivers State leads with a record of 15 new cases.
Lagos State follows with a close record of 14 confirmed new cases.
Abia State follows with a distant record of 5 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 254, 428.
The total number of deaths is currently 3,142.
Active cases: 20,390.
However, the NCDC reports a record of 248,850 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.
