Abia State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 6 states and the FCT recorded about 24 new cases.
The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) released this update on Monday, February 28.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.
Abia State leads with a few records of 7 new cases.
Lagos State follows with a close record of 6 confirmed new cases.
Edo State joins the list with a record of 4 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 254, 525.
The total number of deaths is currently 3,142.
Active cases: 20,390.
However, the NCDC reports a record of 249,013 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.
It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
