Imo State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 4 states and the FCT recorded about 17 new cases.
The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) released this update on Monday, March 8.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25, 2021, remains the highest in recent time.
Imo State leads with a record of 8 new cases.
Oyo State follows with a record of 4 confirmed new cases.
Osun joins with a record of 2 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 254, 657.
The total number of deaths is 3,142.
Active cases:Â 2,313.
However, the NCDC reports a record of 249, 199 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.
It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
