COVID-19 In Nigeria: There Were 4035 New Confirmed Cases And One New Death On Wednesday, December 22.
In the latest health news in Nigeria, there have been two new additional COVID-19-related deaths in Nigeria. The total number of deaths has increased to 2991.
Lagos State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 15 states recorded about 4035 new cases. This was the update released by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday, December 23.

The record of 26 COVID-19 related deaths reported on October 25 still remains the highest in recent time.
Lagos State leads with a massive record of 3,393 new cases.
Rivers State follows with a distant record of 260 confirmed new cases while Edo State follows with 62 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 231,413.
The total number of deaths is currently 2, 991.
Active cases: 16,569.
However, the NCDC reports a record of 211,853 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.
It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
