In theĀ latestĀ health news in Nigeria, there has been an increased number of COVID-19 deaths in Nigeria toĀ 2902.

Zamfara State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases as well asĀ in seven other states. All the affected states recorded aboutĀ 87 new cases. This was the update released by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday, November 5.

A shocking record of 26 COVID-19 related deaths was reported on Monday, October 25. This is the highest in recent time.

Zamfara State takes the lead with 29 new cases. FCT follows with 25 new cases. Rivers follows with a distant record of 11 new cases.

TheĀ Nigeria Center for Disease ControlĀ said the record of 87 new COVID-19 infections has increased the number of infections in the country. Nigeria has now recordedĀ 212,446.

The total number of deaths is currentlyĀ 2, 902.

However, the NCDC reports a record ofĀ 204,047Ā COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

The health agency said theĀ 87 new COVID-19 infectionsĀ have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country toĀ 212,446.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
