COVID-19 In Nigeria: There Were 1547 New Confirmed Cases And Eight New Deaths On Sunday, December 26.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there have been eight new additional COVID-19-related deaths in Nigeria. The total number of deaths remains 3022.

The FCT recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 10 states recorded about 1547 new cases. This was the update released by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday, December 27.

The record of 21 COVID-19 related deaths reported on December 25 has emerged as the highest in recent time.

The FCT leads with a massive record of 806 new cases.

Lagos State follows with a distant record of 401 confirmed new cases.

Borno State follows with a record of 166 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said these new cases increased the number of cases to 237,561.

The total number of deaths is currently 3,022.

Active cases: 16,569.(Subject to review)

However, the NCDC reports a record of 212,550 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
