COVID-19 In Nigeria: 6 New Deaths, 182 New Cases On Thursday, October 28.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there has been an increased number of COVID-19 deaths in Nigeria bringing it to 2892.

Taraba State records the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases as well as 14 other states recorded about 182 new cases. This was the update released by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday, October 28.

A shocking record of 26 COVID-19 related deaths was reported on Monday, still the highest in recent time.

Taraba State takes the lead with 38 new cases. Lagos records 27 new cases followed by the Zamfara State with 25 new cases. Benue follows with 21 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said the record of 182 new COVID-19 infections has increased the number of infections in the country. Nigeria has now recorded 211,678.

The total number of deaths is currently 2, 892.

Active cases: 5774

However, the NCDC reports a record of 203,012 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

The health agency said the 182 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 211,678.

Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
