COVID-19 In Nigeria: There Were 5 Additional Deaths And 144 New Cases On Tuesday, November 16.

In the latest health news in Nigeria, there have been 8 additional COVID-19 deaths in Nigeria. The number of deaths has increased to 2973.

Imo State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases. 13 other states recorded about 144 new cases. This was the update released by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday, November 17.

The record of 26 COVID-19 related deaths reported on October 25 still remains the highest in recent time.

Imo State leads with a record of 38 new cases. Plateau and Lagos State follows with 20 and 17 new cases respectively. FCT follows with a record of 16 new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said the record of 20 new COVID-19 infections increased the number of infections in the country. Nigeria has now recorded 213,321.

The total number of deaths is currently 2, 973.

Active cases: 4142

However, the NCDC reports a record of 206,206 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.
