A study has revealed that breastfeeding adult men has become a popular phenomenon in India.
Wellness Healthcare learned from a 2021 VICE report that breastfeeding of male adults is now common.
It is surprising to know that a lot of people in present-day search for breastfeeding adult males.
The search query frequently used is “my husband wants me to breastfeed him”.
In another report, an Indian Google search found that queries begin with “my husband wants” ends with “me to breastfeed him.”
In a 2017 report, we learned that the number of searches related to infant breastfeeding was the same as adult breastfeeding.
Sex educator Tonya Jone Miller said the phenomenon is sometimes perceived as a fetish.

The sex educator explained:
“It’s a perfect storm of a fetish because it combines two things that make us, as a society, very uncomfortable.
“First, there’s the idea that a man shouldn’t be dependent on a woman. That he shouldn’t be vulnerable and a woman shouldn’t be stronger than him.
Second, it’s the idea of a woman sexualizing the thing that’s thought of as the most sacred thing about her body and her femininity.”
In another report available on India’s ED Times, a man revealed how secured he feels sucking his wife’s breast.
Jay said that it started when he lost his job. His wife automatically became the sole provider of their family of four.

He explained that he broke down one day and automatically buried his head in her breast. His wife was lactating at the time because she just welcomed their second child. After having the breast milk, Jay said that he found some sort of succour.
Jay shared:
“One night I just broke down and buried my face in her breasts. She was lactating because we had just had our second baby. I just naturally gravitated towards her breasts. I have never felt more secure than I did at that moment.”
“When she saw me dejected and lost, she held me in her arms. And I just became a child at that moment. Not because I was trying to substitute for the child, I could never give her, but purely because at that moment, I was reduced to a child because of my helplessness.”
Another said his state of infertility pulled him towards breastfeeding.
His words:
“I could only look up to her for succour. Later that night, I sucked her breasts with tears in my eyes. Every time I feel lost, that’s what I do. It’s more therapeutic than sexual.”
Joel also shared his experience from the day it started and how he now finds it “erotic”.
His words:
“My wife was pumping in bed to release pressure and the other breast started to leak. She suggested that I try it and it led to me drinking both breasts dry while we had sex. It was incredibly erotic, sexy, and set off a thing for it in me. The thought of it had never caused arousal before”
The study further stated that adult breastfeeding (ABF) in the country is no longer strange. However, people still see it as fetishes that are still considered taboo.
