This data ranks Nigeria third in the rate of foreign-trained nurses in the UK. The Philippines and India rank first and second respectively.
This health news platform understands that the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives have called for the regulation of these migrations.
NANN told the Federal Government that this migration was negatively affecting the country’s health sector.
Similarly, foreign reports revealed that a lot of doctors too are relocating to the UK. Hence, experts in the health sector are advocating better working conditions for health workers in Nigeria. This is to reduce the export of human capital.
