In the latest health news in Nigeria, there has been an increased number of COVID-19 deaths in Nigeria to 2899.
Bauchi State recorded the highest number of COVID-19 in Nigeria cases as well as 9 other states recorded about 99 new cases. This was the update released by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday, November 3.

A shocking record of 26 COVID-19 related deaths was reported on Monday, October 25. This is the highest in recent time.
Bauchi State and Plateau State take the lead with 24 new cases each. FCT follows with a record of 22 new cases. Lagos follows with a distant record of nine new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control said the record of 99 new COVID-19 infections has increased the number of infections in the country. Nigeria has now recorded 212,150.
The total number of deaths is currently 2, 899.
Active cases: 5449
However, the NCDC reports a record of 204,010 COVID-19 patients who have recovered and have been discharged.

The health agency said the 99 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 212,150.
Again, the agency has lauded the activities of the National Emergency Operations Centre.
It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre activated at Level 2 had coordinated the national response.
